- Of course Motorola wants as many manufacturers as possible to use the PPC
- chip. But claiming that Motorola is throwing a lot of support behind the
- Amiga is a vast overstatement. Motorola has licensed the MacOS and has
- the right to sub-license it to other vendors and has created a ccompiler
- for the PowerMac platform If you think Motorola is nearly as commited to
- a company that can barely sell 5000 computers as it is to Apple who sells
- close to 5 million anually and has five other companies selling PowerMac
- and Pippen clones you are sadly mistaken.
-
- If both Apple and Escom went out of business the same day, who do you
- think Motorola would invest in?
